Our piece is a tribute to the Irish suffragette movement. 2018 marked the year of 100 years of votes for Irish women. Our piece shows how women were hidden away from the spotlight and “behind the curtain”. They were told not to stir the pot and keep their heads down and not make a fuss. Our torn tights are hidden under the skirt to show the hidden struggles they endured.
